So which one is Bread and which one is Butter?
We don’t know. Maybe we never will.
But we are Zach and Ryan, stepbrothers from different mothers (and fathers).
Zach comes from a background in the restaurant industry, which means he knows exactly how to build brands, create experiences, lead teams, and keep a business running when everything is on fire and smiling guests still expect perfect cocktails.
He has spent years building restaurants, concepts, and brands that people do not just visit once. They come back, bring friends, talk about them, post about them, and act like they discovered them first. He understands what makes people connect to a place, what makes a brand feel magnetic, and what separates something forgettable from something people obsess over.
Zach has a sharp instinct for what works and an even sharper instinct for what is complete bullshit. He knows when an idea has real staying power and when it is just dressed up to look good for five minutes online. He knows how to take a concept, strip away the fluff, and turn it into something that actually hits.
He is the business brain, the operator, the strategist, and the guy who can take a big vision and make it real without losing the personality that made it worth doing in the first place. He sees the big picture, the small details, and the problems coming before everyone else even realizes there is a problem.
Basically, Ryan makes it look sexy. Zach makes sure it actually works.
Ryan is the creative end of Bread + Butter. He went to Full Sail University in 2002 for recording arts where he dropped out in the first two months. However, in that time he discovered and fell in love with videography and graphic design… (also that he hated recording arts and was terrible at it.)
Ryan then took another 180 (as he does) and moved into the fitness world where he was a personal trainer and owned a small gym for about 20 years (also bartended the first 7 years of that because that’s what you do.) During that time he kept his creative outlet of graphic design, videography and photography and used it to build his online coaching business and grew his social media over 80,000 followers [Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok.]
He began to get inquiries from coaches on how to grow their online business, so he helped them. Then he fell in love with that end of the process. From there he decided to take the leap and start a social media agency… but he needed someone who was better at business than he was (know your strengths ok?). So he hit up his bro.
Zach and Ryan started Bread + Butter to fill the gap they believed most other social media agencies were missing… original, brand voice centered, community building, connection content.
Not just copying shit from other agencies and making it look fancy.
